Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes promptly
- Assist with activities of daily living to support patient comfort and dignity
- Communicate clearly with families and the interdisciplinary care team
- Document care in the patient record with attention to detail and compliance
- Participate in care planning and follow established care protocols
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential in good standing
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Prior experience in long-term care or similar clinical setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform hands-on care throughout a 12+ hour shift
Education
- LPN diploma, certificate, or vocational nursing program completion
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic pharmacology knowledge
- Wound care, infection control, and safety best practices
- Vital sign assessment and clinical observation skills
- Good documentation skills and comfort using electronic medical records
- Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care environment
