Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients during night shifts
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings to the team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to protocol
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
- Support safe transitions of care and participate in bedside reporting
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Comfortable working independently on night shift and escalating concerns appropriately
- Previous clinical experience in long-term care, med/surg, or similar settings is a plus
- Travel nursing experience and flexibility adapting to new facilities encouraged
Education
- Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing (LPN) or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Familiarity with infection control and safety best practices
- Clear, professional communication and teamwork
- Proficiency with electronic health records and bedside charting
- Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
