Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for Med/Surg populations with confidence
• Administer medications and therapies accurately while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Perform thorough patient education and discharge planning so transitions are safe and clear
• Document patient status and interventions clearly and timely in the medical record
• Respond to emergencies and escalate care appropriately to ensure patient safety
• Mentor and support colleagues to foster a positive, patient-first culture

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (compact license helpful if you have it)
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or as required by unit
• Minimum 1 year Med/Surg nursing experience preferred; travel experience a plus
• Current vaccinations and ability to complete facility onboarding requirements
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of Med/Surg nursing best practices and standards of care
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and care teams
• Time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adapt quickly to new workflows and facility protocols
