Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate GE VCT 64 and GE Revolution 128 CT scanners to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
- Perform CT and general X-ray procedures with a focus on patient safety and radiation protection
- Document patient care and imaging studies accurately in EPIC and PACS (McKesson)
- Float and provide coverage across CT, X-ray, OR, Endoscopy and ED as needed
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Respond to call/standby requests in a timely, professional manner when required
- Follow facility policies (including radiation badge usage and strict fingernail policy) to maintain compliance
Qualifications
- ARRT-CT (Certified CT Technologist) — required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) — required
- Minimum 2 years of imaging experience (CT/X-ray preferred)
- Hands-on experience with GE VCT 64-slice and GE Revolution 128-slice CT scanners — required
- Comfortable using EPIC and McKesson PACS for charting and image management
- Active driver’s license at time of submittal (used to confirm radius eligibility)
- Willingness to float to XR/OR/Endo/ED and take varied shifts, including holidays and weekends
- Must not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility
- Ability to provide required RTO (return-to-office/request-time-off) upfront: 7 days or less for the 13-week contract
Education
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent
- ARRT-CT certification (required)
- BLS certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
- Radiation safety and proper use of radiation badges
- Proficiency with GE CT systems (VCT and Revolution series)
- Familiarity with EPIC charting workflows and McKesson PACS
- Patient positioning, IV contrast administration basics and emergency response awareness
- Adaptability, a positive attitude and eagerness to learn new areas (portable, IR, nuclear med, mammo basics)
