Shift Type: Day shifts, 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week typical); Monday-Friday schedule with call every 5th weekend and one evening/week on-call. Exact clock-in/clock-out times vary by unit.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality echocardiographic exams and sonography studies with attention to diagnostic detail
- Acquire and document images in EPIC accurately and promptly to support clinical decision-making
- Assess patients and communicate findings to the cardiology team, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond professionally to weekend/evening requests
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, adhering to infection control and radiation safety practices
- Follow facility policies (including fingernail/artificial nail policy) and maintain required documentation and certifications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support excellent patient care in an acute setting
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sonography/echocardiography experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ARDMS certification preferred (RDCS or RVT); RCS acceptable
- Driver's license required for submission (radius rule applies)
- Willingness to comply with facility policies (e.g., fingernail policy) and background checks
- Comfort using EPIC or similar electronic health record systems
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a fast-paced acute care team
Education
- Associate degree or certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field preferred
- Formal training in echocardiography or cardiac sonography; ARDMS/RDCS strongly preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong echocardiography and diagnostic sonography skills
- Proficiency with EPIC charting and electronic documentation
- Solid understanding of radiation safety procedures (radiation badge will be provided)
- Excellent patient assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented image acquisition and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to prioritize workload, respond to on-call demands, and maintain composure in emergencies
