Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate physical therapy care for inpatient and swing bed rehabilitation patients
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs focused on functional recovery
- Treat outpatient orthopedic cases with evidence-based interventions and measurable goals
- Address neuro rehabilitation needs when appropriate, tailoring care to patient ability and progress
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other therapists to coordinate safe discharges and transitions
- Document treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes accurately and on time
- Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist to maintain high standards
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy license with ability to verify credentials (License/Certificate Verification required)
- BLS certification required
- Comfortable and experienced with inpatient rehabilitation and swing bed settings
- Experience in outpatient orthopedics; neuro rehabilitation experience is a strong plus
- Willingness to complete Trinity-specific competency testing, skills checklist, and required health screenings
- Ability to work daytime schedule with occasional Saturday coverage and strong teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical expertise in inpatient and swing bed rehab protocols
- Orthopedic assessment and therapeutic interventions
- Familiarity with neuro rehab approaches when needed
- Strong patient assessment, goal setting, and outcome measurement skills
- Solid documentation and electronic medical record skills
- Effective interdisciplinary communication and discharge planning
- Ability to manage caseloads in a rural hospital setting with adaptability and independence
