Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week. Typical blocks include Days 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; rotation includes both day and night coverage and may include weekends.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate acute care to ICU and PCU patients, monitoring status and intervening promptly
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care for critically ill patients
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Operate and troubleshoot critical care equipment, including ventilators and advanced monitoring systems
- Document care thoroughly and accurately while maintaining continuity during shift handoffs
- Mentor and support colleagues when appropriate, contributing to a positive clinical environment
- Participate in unit initiatives to improve performance and patient safety
Qualifications
- Active RN license (Nebraska) or Compact State privilege where applicable
- Current BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or required by hire
- Experience in ICU or PCU preferred; strong critical care assessment skills
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and rotating between day and night
- Current immunizations and required facility clearances
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of critical care principles, hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Familiarity with telemetry, infusion pumps and central line care
- Skilled in rapid assessment, prioritization and delegation in high-acuity settings
- Proficient documentation practices and electronic health record usage
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make patient-centered decisions
