Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents in a skilled nursing and rehab environment
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff to support timely, high-quality clinical decisions
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility and toileting while following proper body mechanics and safety protocols
• Document care accurately and promptly to maintain clear patient records and continuity of care
• Support infection control and facility policies to keep residents and staff safe
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver individualized, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA or T-CNA certification (required)
• Active state registry or eligibility to register in New Mexico for travel staff
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings including TB test and immunizations
• Previous long-term care or rehab experience preferred but motivated new CNAs are encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current CNA/T-CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care fundamentals and familiarity with activities of daily living
• Clear communication skills for interacting with residents, families and clinical teams
• Basic charting and documentation competency
• Ability to follow care plans, safety procedures and infection control practices
• Dependability, time management and teamwork mindset
