Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as an LPN
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor patient status and report changes to the care team promptly
- Document care activities clearly in the patient record
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Support resident comfort and dignity through person-centered approaches
Qualifications
- Current, active LPN license (Maine preferred or eligible to practice in Maine)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtain upon hire
- Comfort with overnight/extended shifts and working independently during night hours
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Previous long-term care or facility nursing experience is a plus
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent
- High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Ability to document thoroughly and follow care plans
- Familiarity with basic infection control and safety practices
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment
- Good time management and prioritization during overnight shifts
