Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to residents at Casa De Oro Center, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, documenting accurately and promptly
• Monitor resident conditions, report changes to the care team, and participate in care planning
• Collaborate with CNAs, RNs, therapists, and family members to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain accurate clinical records, follow infection control protocols, and ensure resident safety
• Support activities of daily living and encourage resident participation in care and routines

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in New Mexico (required). Please have your license details ready for verification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred if available
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or related environments is highly valued
• Ability to pass standard background checks and meet facility immunization requirements
• Local candidates only as this is a local contract position

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program and high school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and clinical documentation skills
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, resident-centered care, and safety protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm during busy shifts
• Basic computer skills for electronic charting and documentation
