Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct nursing care to residents during the night shift, prioritizing safety and dignity
• Administer medications accurately and document medication administration per facility policy
• Monitor, assess and report clinical changes to the interdisciplinary team in a timely manner
• Support activities of daily living and promote resident comfort and well-being
• Perform thorough and accurate documentation, including shift reports and handoffs
• Collaborate with nurses, CNAs and leadership to maintain high-quality resident care

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required or obtained upon hire
• Ability to work scheduled night shifts: Monday, Tuesday and Friday (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Current immunizations and TB screening as per facility policy; background check and drug screen clearance
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing or similar setting is preferred but not mandatory

Education

• LPN diploma or equivalent
• Active LPN license in New Mexico

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and observation skills during overnight care
• Medication administration and documentation proficiency
• Clear verbal and written communication with residents and team members
• Time management and prioritization during high-acuity moments
• Basic wound care and infection control practices
• Comfort using electronic health records for charting
