Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging and X-ray studies for ED and outpatient populations
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely, monitoring patients for reactions
• Start peripheral IVs when needed to enable contrast-enhanced studies
• Execute specialized CT procedures including brain perfusion, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, myelography, transplant studies, and vascular CTA
• Provide timely imaging for stroke and cardiac center protocols to support critical care
• Collaborate closely with ED clinicians to prioritize studies and ensure rapid patient throughput
• Document exams accurately in EPIC and maintain patient records with attention to detail
• Operate and maintain GE and PACS systems and perform image post-processing when required
• Deliver excellent patient-centered care across all ages — pediatrics through geriatrics

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• ARRT RT (R) (CT) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Valid Washington licensure (WA LIC) required or active compact license as applicable
• Minimum 2 years of CT and ED imaging experience
• Comfortable working independently in an ED setting and responding to call
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred
• Strong patient communication and customer service skills

Knowledge & Skills

• CT imaging and X-ray techniques including fluoroscopy
• Preparation and administration of contrast media
• Peripheral IV insertion for contrast studies
• Special procedures: brain perfusion, coronary CTA, CT arthrography, myelography, transplant imaging, vascular CTA
• Spine and musculoskeletal imaging: cervical, thoracic, lumbar
• Chest, abdomen and pelvis imaging with and without contrast
• Equipment experience with GE systems and PACS
• Image display and post processing, including multiplanar reconstruction (MRP)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment and prioritize urgent studies
