Shift Type: 4x10 Day shifts (Days vary, 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM), weekends required; call required with 30-minute arrival time when on call
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, carotid stenting, and upper/lower extremity angiography
- Monitor patients during procedures and interpret/manage dysrhythmias to maintain safety
- Manage vascular access tasks including sheath removal, monitoring, and use of vascular closure systems
- Maintain radiation and laser safety practices in the procedure suite
- Document thoroughly in EPIC and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
- Assess and prevent pressure ulcers and apply sedation/agitation scoring using the Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale
- Float between like units as needed and respond to call assignments promptly
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (required)
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Comfortable charting in EPIC
- Able to float between like units and participate in call coverage
- Ability to work in a Level II Trauma Center environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; ADN/BSN preferred where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Interventional Radiology procedures and vascular studies
- Angioplasty and carotid stenting familiarity
- Sheath removal and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Radiation and laser safety best practices
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Pressure ulcer assessment and prevention
- Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale application
- Comfortable using EPIC for charting and communication
