Shift Type: Tuesday-Saturday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Day, 5x8)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess adult rehab patients to establish current function and individualized goals
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans including manual and hand therapy
- Deliver adaptive equipment recommendations and pre-discharge planning to maximize independence
- Provide clear, timely documentation in Epic for assessments, plans of care, and billing
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (PT, RT, nursing, social services, pharmacy) to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on safety, transfers, and at-home strategies to support recovery
- Perform skilled modalities as appropriate (electrical stimulation, edema massage, biofeedback)
- Support prosthetics/orthotics plans and splinting when indicated
- Participate in quality, safety, and infection prevention initiatives including fall/risk assessment
- Float between similar units as assigned while maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Active state Occupational Therapist license required (pending licenses are not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year acute care or inpatient rehab experience
- Certifications in Manual Therapy and Hand Therapy required or strongly preferred
- BLS preferred (facility identifies BLS as a preferred certification)
- Comfortable charting in Epic — charting system experience is required
- Ability to float between like units and work the assigned Tuesday-Saturday schedule
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Education
- Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (MOT/OTD) or equivalent; OTR credential preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assessment, plan of care development, reassessments, and discharge planning
- Proficient with Epic charting and billing/documentation practices
- Knowledge of Functional Independence Measure (FIM) and standardized assessments
- Hands-on manual therapy and hand therapy techniques, splinting, and prosthetics/orthotics exposure
- Experience with adaptive equipment fitting and pre-discharge planning
- Familiarity with modalities such as electrical stimulation, biofeedback, and edema management
- Infection prevention, fall/risk assessment, and safety-focused care practices
- Strong patient/family education and transfer/lifting training
