Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality transthoracic (TTE) and transesophageal (TEE) echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients, including infants
• Provide focused pediatric echo scans and handle complex congenital cases when needed
• Execute stress echo protocols (treadmill and pharmacologic) and contrast/bubble studies safely and accurately
• Chart thoroughly and promptly in Epic to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with ED, ICU and interdisciplinary teams to image patients in critical settings
• Perform calculations and measurements including diastology and LV strain/volume analyses
• Maintain equipment (GE/Philips/PACS) readiness and ensure image quality for interpretation
• Participate in rotating call schedule and respond efficiently to urgent requests

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of echo experience; MUST have infant experience
• Community hospital experience required
• BLS certification required; advanced credentials (ARDMS/RDCS/RVS/CCI) preferred
• Demonstrated competency with TTE and TEE procedures; pediatric echo experience a plus
• Comfortable charting in Epic (charting system required)
• Able to work on-call shifts and rotate weekends (every third weekend)
• Professional, team-oriented, and able to perform in ED/ICU settings

Knowledge & Skills

• Transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography (TTE, TEE)
• Pediatric and adult echo protocols; infant cardiac imaging expertise
• Stress echo (treadmill and pharmacologic) and bubble/contrast studies
• Diastology, LV strain/LV volume measurements, and other echo calculations
• Familiarity with GE and Philips ultrasound platforms and PACS
• Epic charting proficiency
• Ability to perform portable studies and IV starts in acute settings
• Comfort working in Emergency Department and ICU environments
