Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Day with every-other-weekend rotation required (weekend coverage shared among 2-3 SLPs)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive SLP assessments and evaluations for adult and geriatric patients
- Conduct bedside swallow evaluations and manage dysphagia with evidence-based plans
- Perform and interpret FEES and Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies when trained
- Develop, update, and implement individualized plans of care and document in Epic
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery and safe discharge
- Collaborate with respiratory services, radiology, social services and the interdisciplinary team
- Manage trach/vent and ventilator-dependent patients with appropriate interventions
- Maintain accurate SLP evaluation coding and point-of-service documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year clinical SLP experience (acute care and inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred)
- State licensure required
- CCC-SLP preferred
- BLS required or preferred per facility notes
- FEES, MBSImP and VitalStim training preferred
- Comfortable floating to different units and working an every-other-weekend rotation
- Experience with Epic charting preferred; strong documentation skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Assessment, evaluation and plan-of-care development
- Bedside swallow evaluation and dysphagia management
- FEES and Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) knowledge and interpretation
- Oral motor treatment, compensatory strategies and thickening agents
- Trach/vent and ventilator-dependent patient management
- SLP evaluation coding and point-of-service documentation
- Patient/family education and safety awareness
- Ability to work efficiently in acute care and inpatient rehab settings
