Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, precise external beam radiation treatments including IMRT, VMAT, SBRT and SRS using TrueBeam and Varian equipment
• Perform CT simulation and assist with treatment planning and dosimetry to ensure accurate patient care
• Operate IGRT workflows including CBCT/kV/mV imaging and respiratory gating when indicated
• Provide compassionate patient education and support through treatment courses
• Accurately document treatments and chart in EPIC and ARIA, performing chart checks as required
• Apply radiation safety standards, field shaping, and custom shielding/molds to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary oncology team to coordinate care for a high-volume outpatient caseload

Qualifications

• ARRT-T certification required (pending licenses accepted)
• Washington state radiation therapist license required (pending accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of radiation therapy experience (first-timers accepted)
• Comfortable floating between like units and working in a busy outpatient cancer center
• Experience with TrueBeam, Varian 21 EX/IX, ARIA and EPIC preferred
• Ability to manage a daily caseload of approximately 50-60 patients

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program or equivalent clinical training
• ARRT-T certification and Washington state licensure required/pending

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiation Therapy fundamentals including External Beam Therapy and Treatment Delivery
• SRS, SBRT, IMRT, 3D conformal techniques and VMAT
• CT Simulation and treatment planning principles; familiarity with Eclipse (Varian) a plus
• Image guidance using CBCT/kV/mV and respiratory gating techniques
• Dosimetry basics, electron setups, parallel opposed fields and field shaping
• Radiation safety, device billing knowledge, and clinical chart checks
• Proficient charting in EPIC/ARIA and ability to follow oncology workflows
