Shift Type: 4x10 night schedule, 4 nights per week, 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM NOC
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up in-lab polysomnography and home sleep testing equipment to ensure accurate data capture
- Apply and calibrate electrodes and sensors following accepted standards to guarantee high-quality signals
- Monitor studies in real time, identify and correct artifacts, and document changes to support accurate scoring
- Score polysomnograms and home sleep studies with attention to sleep stages, respiratory events, and arousals
- Support patients with positive airway pressure equipment, perform mask fittings, and provide patient education
- Coordinate home sleep testing logistics and ensure devices are set up, returned, and scored appropriately
- Collaborate with the sleep medicine physician and clinical director to determine final testing parameters
Qualifications
- RPSGT certification required
- RCP and California state license required
- BLS (AHA or ARC) required
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with PSG and home sleep study scoring
- Flu vaccination required, no declination or exemption accepted
- Comfortable with a 1:2 patient ratio on night shifts
- EEG certification preferred
- First-time travelers welcome
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited sleep technology program or allied health training preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Polysomnography and PSG scoring expertise
- Home Sleep Testing (HSAT) setup and scoring
- PAP support including CPAP, BiPAP, VPAP and ASV titration familiarity
- Electrode application, calibration, and artifact identification
- Experience with Alice, ResMed, and Respironics equipment
- End-Tidal CO2 monitoring and pulse oximetry understanding
- Strong patient education and infection control practices
- Accurate documentation and familiarity with charting systems such as Epic
