Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients comprehensively to develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide skilled acute care physical therapy including gait training and mobility work
- Document patient progress accurately in Epic and maintain timely charting
- Deliver patient and family education, including home exercise programs
- Implement evidence-based orthopedics and neurologic interventions
- Use proper equipment and safety measures including gait belts and bed alarms
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in discharge planning and ensure appropriate follow-up recommendations
Qualifications
- State physical therapy licensure required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (1YR/1ST TIMERS OK)
- BLS certification preferred
- Experience with acute care settings and Epic charting required
- Comfort working with adult and geriatric populations and a variety of diagnoses including orthopedics and neurology
- Ability to work a 5x8 day schedule and maintain 1:1 patient ratios
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and evaluation skills
- Skilled documentation and use of Epic
- Gait training and mobility restoration
- Orthopedics: post-op hip, knee, shoulder and spinal rehab
- Neurology: stroke, spinal cord injury, TBI, Parkinson’s disease, MS
- Home exercise program design and patient/family education
- Familiarity with bed alarms, call lights, hospital beds and sliding boards
- Experience with billing considerations: Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare A
- Strong interdisciplinary communication and clinical decision-making
- Ability to safely manage 1:1 patient care in an acute setting
