Shift Type: 4x10 Day schedule (days vary), 07:30 AM - 06:00 PM Day; includes occasional weekends (3-4 per contract) and weekday/weekend on-call coverage

Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate cardiac cath lab nursing care for adult and geriatric patients
- Prepare patients and assist with diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures (left and right heart caths)
- Monitor hemodynamics including Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan-Ganz and interpret/manage dysrhythmias
- Administer and monitor procedural/conscious sedation safely and according to protocol
- Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic to keep the care team aligned
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — pharmacy, rapid response, transport and interpreters — to optimize patient outcomes
- Float between units as needed and adapt quickly to different facility workflows
Qualifications
- Active RN license (eligible to practice in Oregon)
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab nursing experience; 1st-timer travelers considered per posting
- Demonstrated experience with diagnostic and interventional adult catheterizations (left/right heart cath)
- Proficiency with Epic charting (required)
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring (Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan-Ganz) and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Comfortable administering and monitoring procedural/conscious sedation
- ACLS and BLS required or preferred as noted; certifications should be current
- Reliable vehicle required for this assignment and flexibility to float to regional facilities
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac Cath Lab procedures and workflows (diagnostic & interventional)
- Epic electronic charting and documentation best practices
- Conscious sedation administration and monitoring
- Pulmonary Artery Line / Swan-Ganz monitoring and interpretation
- Hemodynamic monitoring and troubleshooting
- Interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
- Strong communication and teamwork across interdisciplinary teams
