Shift Type: Monday-Friday, Day 5x8 (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM); Rotating call coverage: weekdays stand-by/on-call from end of shift typically 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM, weekends and holidays stand-by/on-call 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM; Day/rotating with required weekend availability
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures including SPECT, bone scans, myocardial imaging and a full range of organ studies
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and conduct lymphoscintigraphy studies, including performing the injection of tracer safely and confidently
- Start and maintain IVs and execute pharmacological stress testing (Adenosine, Persantine) and exercise/rest stress tests as indicated
- Operate and manage imaging systems and PACS workflow, ensuring high-quality images and accurate documentation in Epic
- Provide excellent patient care to adults and geriatrics, including preparation, monitoring during procedures, and post-procedure instructions
- Respond to on-call requests promptly during weekday evenings and weekend/holiday coverage, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams for timely imaging
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and facility-specific guidelines
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of nuclear medicine technologist experience (first-time travelers accepted)
- Demonstrated ability to perform lymphoscintigraphy including tracer injection
- Comfortable starting and maintaining IVs and performing EKGs
- Experience with PACS and Epic charting
- Community hospital experience preferred; ability to work ER and Adult ICU settings
- Weekend and holiday availability required; ability to participate in rotational call
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with SPECT imaging and bone scan protocols
- Experience with myocardial imaging and pharmacological stress testing (Adenosine, Persantine)
- Familiarity with thyroid, renal, liver, HIDA, ventilation/perfusion and other nuclear studies
- Skilled in DTPA aerosol, sestamibi parathyroid, captopril and lasix-assisted renal studies
- Comfortable using Phillips imaging equipment and PACS systems
- Strong patient communication, safety awareness, and ability to work in fast-paced hospital settings
