Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients across the continuum (outpatient, inpatient, SNF) and develop individualized plans of care
- Provide skilled interventions such as gait training, adaptive device training and therapeutic exercise
- Manage wound care, lymphedema therapy and pelvic floor treatment when indicated
- Document evaluations, reassessments, long/short-term goals and discharge plans accurately in Epic
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care and smooth transitions
- Educate patients and families with clear home exercise programs and safety guidance
- Float within scope to cover outpatient, acute care and SNF units as needed to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Alaska physical therapy license (AK License) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical physical therapy experience
- Pending licenses are not accepted; local candidates living within 50 miles are not eligible
- Comfortable working across multiple settings (acute care, outpatient, SNF) and patient populations
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assessment, evaluation and documentation of plan of care
- Experience with gait training, adaptive devices and therapeutic exercise
- Wound care, lymphedema management and pelvic floor training experience preferred
- Pediatrics experience valued (department sees all ages)
- Familiarity with modalities: ultrasound, e-stim, TENS, iontophoresis, cryotherapy
- Ability to monitor vitals and manage cardiopulmonary patients (COPD, CHF, post-op care)
- Proficient with Epic charting and time management in a busy clinical environment
- Strong patient/family education and safety/injury prevention skills
