Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with interventional radiology procedures using sterile technique and strict attention to patient safety
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment and supplies used in interventional procedures
• Document procedures, patient status and imaging results accurately in Epic
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Prepare patients for procedures, provide clear instructions and compassionate support throughout the visit
• Respond effectively to emergent situations and assist with appropriate interventions when called
• Maintain inventory, ensure proper sterilization and uphold departmental policies and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience (MUST have IR experience)
• Experience with Epic charting is required
• Active state radiologic technologist licensure as required by state (pending licenses are not accepted)
• Willingness to work every-other-weekend and participate in on-call rotation
• First-time travel clinicians are welcome to apply
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs when requested
• Must meet facility staffing rules (note: locals within a 50-mile radius of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center may not be accepted)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and workflow
• Proficiency with imaging equipment and radiation safety practices
• Excellent Epic documentation skills
• Sterile technique and procedure room preparation
• Clear communication and teamwork in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Critical thinking and the ability to prioritize during emergent situations
