Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess pediatric and infant patients using validated measures and clinical judgment
• Develop and implement clear, family-centered plans of care focused on functional outcomes
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and strategies for daily life
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care across outpatient and acute settings
• Float into the acute hospital when outpatient census is low and provide safe, effective care
• Maintain productivity standards and manage a typical daily patient load to meet facility expectations

Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapy license (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; first-time travel therapists are welcome
• Demonstrated experience with pediatric and infant populations (this is a must)
• Comfortable working in outpatient clinic settings and able to float to acute care as needed
• Proficiency with Epic charting is preferred

Education

• Not specified in the posting (please hold active PT license and appropriate clinical training)

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric physical therapy assessment and treatment planning
• Infant-specific skills including torticollis management and milestone assessment
• Experience with developmental delays, cerebral palsy, and adaptive equipment
• Hands-on skills: AROM/AAROM/PROM and assistive device training
• Ability to create and teach effective home exercise programs
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with Epic charting
• Comfort working across settings: outpatient clinic, occasional acute care float, and home health experience is a plus
• Use of PDMS-2 and other pediatric assessment tools
