Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess infants and children using standardized tools (PDMS-2 familiarity preferred) and clinical observation to create individualized plans of care
• Design and implement evidence-based outpatient pediatric PT interventions addressing developmental delays, torticollis, scoliosis, cerebral palsy and orthopedic needs
• Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic to ensure continuity of care and clear communication with the team
• Educate patients and families with practical home exercise programs and coaching to promote functional gains outside the clinic
• Collaborate with OTs, SLPs, nursing and physicians in a small hospital-based outpatient clinic to provide coordinated, family-centered care
• Adapt treatment plans and recommend adaptive or assistive equipment when appropriate to maximize independence
• Maintain productivity and caseload management while ensuring high-quality, compassionate care

Qualifications

• Current California Physical Therapy license required (pending licenses not accepted)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred; first-timers/new grads are explicitly welcomed
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in the infant population — infant experience is an absolute requirement
• Outpatient clinic experience preferred; acute care exposure is a plus since occasional float to acute may be needed
• Comfortable working independently and proficient in pediatric assessments and interventions

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment and milestone evaluation (PDMS-2 experience preferred)
• AROM/AAROM/PROM techniques and pain assessment
• Knowledge of developmental delays, torticollis, scoliosis, and cerebral palsy management
• Experience with adaptive equipment and assistive device recommendations
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with Epic charting
• Ability to create and teach effective home exercise programs and provide family education
