Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pediatric SLP evaluations and provide ongoing treatment plans rather than referring out — you own continuity of care
- Use EPIC for accurate, timely documentation, billing, and SLP evaluation coding
- Provide hands-on 1:1 therapy to children with autism, developmental delays, fluency issues, and language disorders
- Implement and train families on alternative communication devices and communication boards to maximize functional outcomes
- Develop, update, and manage Plans of Care, Medicaid documentation, re-assessments, and discharge summaries
- Educate patients and families about therapy goals, home programs, and safety concerns including signs of abuse
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physical therapy and interpretation services for coordinated care
- Maintain professional certification and licensure, and model best practices in pediatric outpatient settings
Qualifications
- Current CCC-SLP credential (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
- State licensure in Washington (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Comfortable and experienced working with children with autism and their families
- Experience in pediatric outpatient settings required; children’s hospital, home health, or pediatric rehab experience preferred
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a full caseload with minimal supervision
- Experience with EPIC required for documentation and billing
- Willingness to follow facility guidelines and fulfill a travel contract (travel experience required)
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent (to meet CCC-SLP requirements)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled with evaluation tools: CELF, PLS-4, Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale, and non-evaluative screening tools
- Proficient in alternative and augmentative communication devices and communication boards
- Strong knowledge of pediatric diagnoses: autism, developmental delays, language disorders, fluency and behavioral presentations
- Familiarity with dysphagia screening and preferred dysphagia skills including bedside swallow evaluation and compensatory strategies
- Experienced with Medicaid documentation, SLP evaluation coding, Plans of Care, re-assessments, and discharge processes
- Ability to recognize signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse and act accordingly
- Comfortable with 1:1 patient ratio and managing 8 visits/day in an outpatient pediatric clinic
- Excellent family education, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
