Shift Type: Sunday-Wednesday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Day (4x10); On-call 2-3 nights/week (low volume); Weekend requirement: Every Sunday; Block schedules available; Guaranteed 70 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for one 10-hour shift per 2 weeks)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT and X-ray imaging using GE 16-slice and Siemens equipment to support excellent patient care
- Prepare and administer contrast media safely and in accordance with protocols
- Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture when required for imaging procedures
- Operate PACS and Epic for accurate image management and documentation
- Follow radiation safety practices to protect patients and staff
- Support special procedures such as biopsies, brain perfusion studies, CT arthrography, and vascular CTA
- Float to Providence Alaska Medical Center as needed to meet facility needs and maintain continuity of care
- Provide on-call coverage for nights (low volume) and ensure reliable coverage every scheduled Sunday
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of CT imaging experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with CT and general X-ray imaging
- Experience with Epic charting and PACS image systems
- Comfortable performing contrast administration and IV starts
- Willingness to float within scope of practice to nearby Providence Alaska Medical Center
- Must be able to work scheduled Sundays and required on-call nights
- Candidates’ permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology or CT program preferred
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
Knowledge & Skills
- CT imaging and cross-sectional anatomy
- General X-ray technique and portable imaging (Siemens portable systems)
- Operation of GE CT scanners (16-slice) and GE C-arm for studies
- Epic electronic medical record charting
- PACS image retrieval, storage, and workflow
- Contrast media preparation and safe administration practices
- Radiation safety and compliance
- Peripheral IV starts and venipuncture
- Special procedures knowledge: biopsies, brain perfusion, CT arthrography, vascular CTA, spine and musculoskeletal imaging
