Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Day). Department hours also include Saturday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and screening mammography procedures, including 3-D mammography, producing high-quality diagnostic images
- Assist physicians with special procedures such as stereotactic biopsy, fine needle aspiration, and needle localization
- Carry out mandated quality control activities under MQSA and FDA guidelines to ensure patient safety and image excellence
- Position and comfort patients of all ages (adolescents, adults, geriatrics) with compassion and professionalism
- Maintain and operate mammography and processing equipment, troubleshooting basic issues and reporting concerns
- Collaborate with the radiology team to support high-volume outpatient workflows and efficient patient throughput
- Participate in cross-campus floating as needed to support coverage and continuity of care
Qualifications
- ARRT (registry) required; candidates with pending license considered
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of mammography experience required; 2 years of full-time mammography experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable performing diagnostic and screening mammograms and related procedures (stereotactic biopsy, FNAs, needle localization)
- Willingness to float to other campuses and adapt to different outpatient settings
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in 3-D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammograms
- Experience with stereotactic biopsy, fine needle aspiration, and needle localization procedures
- Working knowledge of mammography QC (MQSA) and FDA requirements
- Familiarity with x-ray equipment, processing units, and radiographic exposure techniques
- Strong patient positioning skills and compassionate patient interaction
- Ability to work in a high-volume outpatient breast imaging environment
