Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality nuclear medicine imaging and procedures to support accurate diagnoses
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment with attention to safety and image quality
• Follow radiation safety and state regulatory requirements to protect patients and staff
• Provide compassionate patient care, including positioning, monitoring, and clear communication
• Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records according to facility protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and float to sister facilities when required

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine
• Certification by NMTCB or ARRT (required)
• Valid California Nuclear Medicine Technology license (required)
• Current CPR card required; BLS and CNMT are preferred
• Willingness to float to sister facilities as needed
• First-time travelers welcome — great for clinicians new to travel assignments

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging protocols and best practices
• Radiation safety and regulatory compliance for California
• Patient positioning, monitoring, and bedside communication
• Experience working with gamma cameras/SPECT equipment and image acquisition
• Ability to document procedures accurately and work within clinical workflows
