Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting to the ER with speed and clinical judgment
• Administer medications and manage drips including insulin, heparin, levofed, cardizem, amiodarone and propofol safely
• Assist with respiratory support and intubation when required, and operate/monitor respiratory equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, techs and ancillary services to coordinate patient care
• Perform timely patient assessments, interpret cardiac strips, and initiate emergency interventions
• Prioritize patient flow in a busy ER environment and facilitate transfers to higher levels of care when needed
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with patients, families and the care team
• Participate in unit-based orientation and ongoing competency maintenance

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license (ND or compact eligible) required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, ED experience strongly preferred
• Preferred certifications: NRP, TNCC (nice to have)
• Experience mixing and administering medications, managing drips, and assisting with intubation
• Ability to work rotating days/nights and meet weekend requirements
