Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour nights (schedule varies/rotating; may include weekends)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for Med/Surg and Telemetry patients on a transplant/stepdown unit
- Manage and monitor telemetry and infusions such as heparin drips, ensuring safe titration and documentation
- Administer and monitor patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) and respond to changes in patient condition
- Perform wound and drain care including wound vacs, chest tubes, and JP drain management
- Document thoroughly and accurately in the Meditech EMR to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacists, and therapists to optimize patient outcomes
- Serve as a reliable, adaptable clinician in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient ratios and safety
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state of practice or compact eligible) — must be able to practice in Colorado
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience, with strong Med/Surg/Telemetry background
- Demonstrated experience managing heparin drips and PCA pumps
- Experience with wound and drain care (wound vacs, chest tubes, JP drains)
- Familiarity with Meditech or similar EMR systems
- Current BLS required; ACLS or other advanced certifications preferred or can be obtained
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid assessment and telemetry-monitoring skills
- Comfort with titratable infusions and pump management
- Skilled in wound/drain care and postoperative transplant patient needs
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR workflows and documentation
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced unit
