Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while preserving patient dignity
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers and ambulation to reduce fall risk
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care
- Document care accurately and promptly in the patient record
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Valid state certification or license for California
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care safely
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient care and assistance with ADLs
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
- Basic charting and electronic health record familiarity
- Team player with strong observational and communication abilities
