Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care: assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support patient mobility and fall prevention efforts to ensure a safe environment
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and patient observations
• Communicate effectively with nurses, patients, and families to coordinate care
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and privacy policies to protect patients and staff
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by offering respectful, attentive care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — California certification preferred or eligible
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to shift
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any required health screenings
• Comfortable with physical aspects of patient care (lifting, transfers) and safe body mechanics
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous experience in a clinical, long-term care, or hospital setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED and successful completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and patient hygiene
• Proficient in obtaining and documenting vital signs
• Knowledge of infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Basic charting and bedside documentation abilities
• Understanding of patient safety, mobility assistance, and fall prevention
• Good interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
