Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care for adult patients and Level 3 NICU infants, applying evidence-based practices
• Manage and troubleshoot ventilators including PB 840 and Draeger models to optimize patient ventilation
• Perform surfactant delivery procedures as needed for neonatal respiratory support
• Document assessments, interventions and ventilator changes accurately in Meditech
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions of care and excellent patient outcomes
• Support unit staffing needs across shifts and assist with variable patient ratios, stepping in where help is needed

Qualifications

• RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (as listed)
• Required experience with adult patients and Level 3 NICU care
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR for documentation
• Experience or willingness to work with PB 840 and Draeger ventilators; surfactant delivery experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and titration for adult and neonatal patients
• Neonatal respiratory interventions including surfactant delivery
• Proficient charting and documentation in Meditech
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability on busy units
• Ability to work nights and assist across unit areas with variable patient ratios
