Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients under physician orders to identify functional needs and develop personalized plans of care — you’ll be the detective of daily living skills.
Design and implement treatment programs using therapeutic procedures and assistive devices to maximize patient independence and quality of life.
Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and report progress to the referring physician and Manager of Rehabilitation Services to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
Document assessments, treatment plans, and patient progress accurately and timely to support continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
Adhere to the California State Practice Act and facility policies to maintain safe, ethical, and professional practice.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required).
Current CA Occupational Therapist License (required).
Ability to evaluate and treat patients per physician orders using a variety of therapeutic techniques and assistive devices.
Familiarity with California State Practice Act and rehabilitation service workflows.
Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills; patient-centered mindset.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy evaluation and treatment strategies
Therapeutic procedures and intervention planning
Selection and training in assistive devices and adaptive equipment
Patient-centered care and functional goal setting
Clinical documentation and care coordination
Understanding of California State Practice Act and rehabilitation services
