Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the Cost Accounting system for service line profitability analysis and ensure accurate monthly P&L publication for service lines and physician practices.
• Oversee the productivity system and train managers/directors to interpret and use productivity and decision support tools.
• Lead preparation and review of feasibility studies using STRATA and provide ROI, NPV, IRR, payback period and other financial analyses to guide capital decisions.
• Support major strategic and financial planning projects by leveraging decision support systems and producing timely, actionable reports for leadership.
• Compile and deliver data and reports for audits, GME reporting, insurance renewals, FEMA or Single Audits, and external rating agencies like S&P, Fitch and EMMA.
• Mentor and provide oversight to the decision support supervisor and special projects analyst, and assist with software implementations (STRATA forecasting module, ERP, leasing software).
• Validate cost structure updates, establish routine leadership reviews of service line performance, and help develop performance improvement plans where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting and/or decision support, preferably in healthcare.
• Hands-on experience with STRATA financial software or a similar decision support/financial forecasting tool.
• Proven experience producing service line and physician practice P&Ls and working with productivity systems.
• Strong experience with financial feasibility analyses and metrics (ROI, NPV, IRR).
• Preferred: Master Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration and financial or healthcare certifications.
• Preferred experience in hospital contracting, reimbursement models (including bundled payments and physician reimbursement).

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• Master Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cost accounting, budgeting, decision support and service line profitability analysis
• Proficiency with STRATA and familiarity with ERP and leasing software implementations
• Ability to develop financial feasibility templates and rolling forecasts
• Comfort preparing audit-level reports and submissions for rating agencies
• Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills to mentor staff and present to leadership
