Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality inpatient occupational therapy focused on ADLs and individualized care plans
• Conduct thorough evaluations and create measurable treatment goals that drive patient progress
• Deliver usual inpatient rehab treatments using equipment such as H200/L300 and BURT when appropriate
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Meditech to ensure continuity and compliance
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, and aides to optimize recovery
• Adapt to changing patient needs and unit priorities with initiative and a positive attitude

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (current and in good standing) — ability to work in Texas preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (experience in inpatient rehab is a strong plus)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Comfortable using Meditech or similar EMR for documentation
• Willingness to work weekends (minimum of 2 per 4-week period) and float to other Methodist inpatient rehabs if needed
• Outgoing, flexible, and a team-focused approach to patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADLs, patient evaluations, and standard inpatient rehab treatments
• Familiarity with H200/L300, BURT, and common rehab equipment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate interdisciplinary care
• Ability to prioritize treatment time (expect ~5–6 hours of direct treatment)
• Initiative to problem-solve and support unit workflow
