Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical screening, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning across the lifespan
• Provide brief therapy and continuing care for patients from birth through elder
• Lead and facilitate discharge planning and patient care conferences for safe transitions
• Coordinate care with hospital teams and community partners to optimize outcomes
• Advocate for clients and assist with complex matters such as Power of Attorney when relevant
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation for clinical care and billing
• Support chemical dependency and mental health referral processes and follow-up
• Participate in quality management trainings and integrate best practices into care delivery
• Assist with billing duties and provider enrollment documentation as assigned
• Ensure adherence to Indian Child Protection Act (ICPA) and other regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related discipline from an accredited institution
• Licensed (or in process of becoming licensed) as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
• Valid State of Alaska Driver's License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Must be 21 years of age
• Clinical Competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years (SEARHC Clinical Competency Assessment)

Education

• Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related discipline (accredited institution)

Knowledge & Skills

• Discharge planning and care coordination across continuum of care
• Interviewing techniques and crisis intervention
• Clinical documentation and compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards
• Case management and multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Experience supporting patients with chemical dependency and mental health needs
• Familiarity with billing, provider enrollment processes, and quality management
• Understanding of ICPA requirements and culturally informed Tribal health practices
• Ability to write clear, concise clinical reports and progress notes
