Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients quickly and accurately to prioritize emergency needs
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans for ED patients
• Provide direct bedside nursing care as the primary caregiver in the Emergency Department
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary care teams, patients and families to optimize outcomes
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to ensure seamless handoffs
• Respond to emergency codes and assist in life-saving interventions when needed
• Mentor and support colleagues to maintain a high-performing, cohesive team

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio (required)
• 2+ years of nursing experience with critical access settings and EPIC demonstrated
• Current ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications
• NIHSS, EKG course and Code Violet (CPI) to be completed within 6 months of hire
• Strong emergency nursing experience with demonstrated critical thinking and triage skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and rapid prioritization in emergency settings
• Proficient with EPIC electronic medical record documentation
• Experienced in direct patient care and care plan development
• Excellent team collaboration and communication under pressure
• Familiarity with emergency nursing protocols and critical access workflows
