Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3x12 per week typical; rotating weekends and holidays (night)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert bedside care for NICU patients including preemies (28+ weeks) through close monitoring and skilled interventions
- Manage respiratory support for neonates up to and including intubated patients and ventilator/oscillator care
- Perform and maintain central line care and management, including care of broviacs
- Respond to neonatal resuscitations (NRP) and stabilize critically ill infants
- Document patient care accurately in CPN/Meditech and maintain clear handoffs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, surgeons, and families to support care plans and discharge goals
- Support surgical and cardiac neonatal patients and assist with unit procedures as needed
- Adhere to unit-specific policies and maintain required certifications and competencies
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (per state/facility requirements)
- Minimum 1 year of Level III NICU experience (patient experience requirement)
- Required certifications: NRP and BLS
- Strong experience with central line management and respiratory support, including intubated neonates
- Familiarity with neonatal equipment (CPAP, vents, oscillators, warmers, isolettes) and IV pumps
- Comfort caring for surgical, cardiac, and complex neonatal cases
Knowledge & Skills
- Neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and critical care principles
- Ventilator management including CPAP and oscillators
- Central line care and troubleshooting, broviac familiarity
- CPN and Meditech documentation systems
- Care of tracheostomy patients and experience with patients under 27 weeks (preferred)
- Skilled use of NIRS, warmers, isolettes, and neonatal monitoring equipment
- Strong communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to function in a high-acuity 1:1 to 1:4 patient ratio environment
