Medical Laboratory Technician - MLT

Location: Winnebago, NE

Start Date: 06-01-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Wednesday-Tuesday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts, 7 on 7 off, every other weekend and holidays if scheduled)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform laboratory testing and analyses to assist in disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure efficient and accurate results
Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory issues as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and records
Provide excellent customer service to patients and colleagues

Qualifications

Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Laboratory Science
1 year of experience in laboratory settings
Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices, infection control, and governmental regulations

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Laboratory Science

Knowledge & Skills

Analytical testing and laboratory information systems
Equipment operation and troubleshooting
Specimen acquisition and phlebotomy
Infection control and sterilization procedures
Customer service and communication skills
