Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize lifesaving care
• Perform clinical interventions such as IV starts and 12-lead EKGs to support rapid diagnosis and treatment
• Operate and monitor equipment including ventilators and point-of-care (POC) lab machines safely and effectively
• Document care and communicate clearly using Meditech EMR to ensure continuity and quality
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered emergency care
• Maintain situational awareness in a fast-paced environment and escalate changes in patient status promptly

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (eligible to work in Texas)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (Emergency/acute care experience is a strong fit)
• Demonstrated comfort with IV starts and performing 12-lead EKGs
• Experience using Meditech EMR or similar electronic medical record systems
• Familiarity with ventilator care and point-of-care lab devices preferred
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to rotate weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and triage skills in emergency settings
• Clinical competency in IV therapy and cardiac monitoring (12-lead EKG)
• Experience with ventilators and POC lab equipment
• Proficient documentation skills within Meditech EMR
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and communicate effectively with patients and team members
