Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Provide compassionate, respectful care that preserves patient dignity
• Maintain clear and timely documentation in the patient record
• Support safe patient transfers and fall prevention measures
• Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep patients and staff safe

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the applicable state
• Active basic life support certification, or willingness to obtain
• Clean background check and ability to pass required screenings
• Comfortable assisting patients with mobility and personal care
• Dependable, punctual, and able to adapt to per diem scheduling

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families
• Basic clinical skills including taking vitals and monitoring patient status
• Good documentation practices and attention to detail
• Ability to follow care plans and collaborate with clinical team
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Awareness of infection prevention and safety protocols
