Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate basic care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
- Document care provided clearly and promptly in patient records
- Communicate effectively with nurses, patients, and families to support care plans
- Follow infection control and facility safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable assisting with patient mobility and personal care
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening per facility requirements
- Previous CNA experience preferred, but enthusiastic and reliable applicants are encouraged to apply
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care techniques and bedside manner
- Measuring and recording vital signs accurately
- Infection prevention and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Safe transfer and positioning practices
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients and care teams
