Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor cardiac telemetry, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy with attention to safety
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate effective and compassionate care
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and post-discharge care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California required
• Experience or comfort working in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry (MST) settings preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS a plus
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on per diem assignments and adapt quickly to different teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment and monitoring, including cardiac telemetry
• Medication administration and IV management expertise
• Solid documentation skills in electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Teamwork, empathy and strong patient advocacy
