Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients to identify functional abilities, limitations, and therapy needs under physician orders
Develop individualized treatment plans that maximize patients' functional potential across daily activities
Implement therapeutic procedures and utilize assistive devices to improve independence and safety
Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and referring physicians to coordinate patient care and progress
Provide patient and family education to support carryover of therapy goals into daily life
Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress accurately and in compliance with regulations
Ensure all practice is consistent with the California State Practice Act and facility policies

Qualifications

Current CA Occupational Therapist License (required)
Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
Ability to evaluate and treat patients under physician orders
Working knowledge of the California State Practice Act and clinical documentation standards
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education skills

Education

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy

Treatment planning and therapeutic procedures
Use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment
Following physician orders and interdisciplinary collaboration
Compliance with State Practice Act and documentation best practices
