Roles & Responsibilities

Lead and supervise Lead and Senior Technologists and provide indirect oversight of technical staff to maintain excellent patient care
Manage daily staffing needs to meet budgetary and productivity targets while promoting a positive work environment
Implement and support department performance improvement and program development initiatives
Ensure image quality control and enforce departmental policies and procedures consistently
Collaborate with clerical, nursing, and service engineering teams to coordinate imaging services and resolve interdepartmental issues
Act as a resource and educator for patients, families, students, and staff on imaging procedures and best practices
Monitor departmental operations, report service levels to director and administration, and recommend resource allocation for imaging services

Qualifications

Minimum five years experience as a working Diagnostic Technologist in an acute-care setting
Minimum two years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting; 3-5 years prior supervisory/managerial experience preferred
Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services OR current ARRT license
Current CPR certification
Desired: certification in a specialized area from a recognized certifying agency (e.g., MRI, NMTBC)
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate and delegate respectfully

Education

Associate Degree

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of Joint Commission standards, ACR compliance, Title 17 and Title 22 regulations
Strong understanding of radiation physics, radiation protection, radiobiology, and radiographic exposure principles
Competence in patient positioning, patient-centered care, and quality assurance practices
Experience with performance improvement processes and regulatory implementation
Ability to monitor, evaluate, and administer departmental resources and staffing
