Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiology procedures following prescribed techniques and safety protocols
• Adjust equipment settings (voltage, current, time) and arrange immobilization/support devices
• Prepare rooms and patients, including contrast material preparation and patient positioning
• Conduct daily cleaning and routine quality control; maintain quality control reports
• Perform diagnostic testing and general maintenance on imaging equipment
• Handle scheduling, phone coverage and basic office duties to keep the department running smoothly
• Participate in call rotations and respond to urgent imaging needs as required
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal radiological technologist training program approved by the AMA
• ARRT registration required
• CT certification and a minimum of 6 months experience in Computerized Tomography
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• MRI experience/certification preferred but not required
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area

Education

• Completion of formal radiological technologist training in an AMA-approved program

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) operation and CT certification knowledge
• Radiation protection techniques and safety best practices
• Patient positioning and immobilization for diagnostic imaging
• Contrast preparation and handling
• Equipment maintenance and routine quality control procedures
• Patient scheduling and front-office/phone administration skills
• Diagnostic testing procedures and troubleshooting
