Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 3x12 with some weekends (Rotating)

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department, prioritizing safety and clinical best practices
Triage patients quickly and accurately, addressing physical and psychosocial needs to optimize patient flow
Assess patients thoroughly and communicate changes in status, symptoms, and diagnostic results to physicians and mid-level providers
Respond rapidly and competently to changes in condition and treatment response
Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, allied health staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
Provide direction to Emergency Department techs, registration staff, and allied health staff as needed

Qualifications

Current MT State RN license required
Degree from an accredited nursing program required; Bachelor's of Nursing preferred
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required

Education

Degree from an accredited nursing program (required)
Bachelor of Nursing (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong Emergency Department nursing principles and procedures
Triage and patient assessment skills
IV skills and ability to operate manual and electronic medical equipment
Basic computer knowledge and basic office skills
Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and give clear direction to support staff
