Roles & Responsibilities

• Train and support all users of the EHR and ancillary clinical systems using classroom, one-on-one, remote shadowing, and web conferencing modalities
• Configure, optimize, and maintain clinical content and decision support in collaboration with medical staff
• Develop clear, practical training materials and deliverables that help clinicians work efficiently and safely
• Triage user problems and coordinate resolution with Help Desk, PC techs, network admins, coders, medical directors, and nursing staff
• Update application content for labs, radiology, meds, immunizations, and coding changes to keep systems current with best practices
• Continuously assess and recommend improvements to clinical processes and decision support across outpatient and inpatient settings
• Collaborate closely with IT teams, vendors, and other SEARHC departments to ensure smooth implementations and integrations
• Participate in occasional travel and work outside regular hours to support deployments and urgent technical issues

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (Alaska or other U.S. state). Direct hire candidates must have applied for an Alaska license before start date; agency staff must hold an active Alaska license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 5 years clinical or medical setting experience (clinical experience preferred)
• Minimum 2 years experience working with clinical information systems
• Minimum 1 year experience with computer technology (programming, installation, reporting, or hardware/network experience)
• BSN preferred; advanced degree(s) may substitute for minimum experience on a year-by-year basis
• Experience with inpatient clinical environments, teaching/training, and accreditation processes is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• BSN preferred
• Advanced degree(s) may substitute for required experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven experience with EHR and clinical applications administration
• Clinical content configuration and clinical decision support knowledge
• Familiarity with HL7 messaging and integration concepts
• Understanding of scheduling, radiology, laboratory, and document scanning systems
• Strong troubleshooting, triage, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication across clinical and IT stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize, work independently, and collaborate across multiple sites
